We understand that welcoming your first puppy can be daunting, so we've compiled a list of essential products to simplify the process for you.

  1. Puppy Food

Our puppies are nourished with Purina Pro Plan (salmon and rice formula). Click here to purchase on Amazon.

Purina Pro Plan (Salmon & Rice Formula)

Over the years, we have discovered that chicken is more difficult for Goldendoodles to digest, so we exclusively feed them a salmon and rice formula.

  1. Food & water bowl

We suggest opting for stainless steel dog bowls, as plastic and certain other materials are more prone to retaining harmful bacteria. Click here to buy on Amazon.

  1. Dog crate

We suggest buying a metal dog crate, as they include a divider for training purposes. Click here to buy on Amazon.

  1. Doggy bed

Your puppy will require a bed to ensure comfort during the night or when taking naps during the day. We suggest selecting a dog bed that fits inside the crate you buy. Click here to purchase a doggy bed on Amazon.

  1. Collar & leash

Whenever you take your puppy for walks or to the park, you'll need a collar and leash. Click here to buy them on Amazon.

  1. Grooming products

Regular grooming is essential to maintain your puppy's coat appearance and prevent matting. Here is a list of products we use on our puppies.

  1. metal comb

A metal comb prevents your puppy's coat from becoming matted. Click here to purchase on Amazon

  2. ear cleaner

Goldendoodles are susceptible to ear infections, so maintaining clean ears can help prevent infections. We use Pet MD ear wipes and Earwell otic cleaning solution to reduce unpleasant odors.

  1. Shampoo

We suggest opting for a natural, fragrance-free shampoo to prevent dry skin on your puppy. Burt's Bees oatmeal shampoo is an excellent choice. Click here to buy on Amazon.

how often should you give your puppy a bath?

Your puppy might need a bath upon arrival, but it's best to bathe your puppy infrequently, as frequent bathing can lead to dry skin.

Unless your puppy has an unpleasant odor or becomes dirty, they don't necessarily require a bath.

  2. Pet insurance

Vet bills can quickly add up, but pet insurance ensures you won't have to stress over unexpected veterinary costs.

Determining when your puppy might fall ill or get injured, leading to unforeseen vet expenses, can be challenging. We understand how unsettling this can be, which is why we suggest Trupanion pet insurance.
