My story

Hugs is a delightful and well-mannered F1 Medium Goldendoodle, known for his charming personality and a hint of shyness that adds to his endearing nature. This lovely dog enjoys spending quality time with familiar faces, whether it’s lounging on the couch or playing in the yard. He also has a penchant for going on walks, where he can explore the world around him while enjoying the fresh air. At just over a year old, Hugs currently weighs 45 lbs, and we anticipate that he will reach a final weight of around 45-50 lbs, making him a perfectly sized companion for various living situations.

Hugs is ideally suited for a family or an individual who appreciates a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. His gentle demeanor allows him to interact beautifully with children, and he forms a strong, affectionate bond with his owner, showcasing loyalty and love. While he may find meeting new people a bit challenging due to his shy nature, this does not diminish his ability to provide emotional support. In fact, he has a natural eagerness to please, which makes him a wonderful companion for those who understand his temperament. Although he may not be suitable as a service or therapy dog due to his nervousness around unfamiliar individuals, he certainly excels in offering comfort and companionship to those he knows and trusts.

Hugs displays an enthusiastic attitude when it comes to walking on a leash, eagerly anticipating his daily outings. However, it is important to note that he may exhibit a bit of nervousness in unfamiliar places, which is typical for a dog with his personality. This sensitivity can be managed with patience and gradual exposure to new environments, allowing him to build confidence over time.

We highly recommend that prospective adopters meet Hugs in person to ensure a natural connection. His gentle and loving nature is best experienced face-to-face, where you can see his personality shine. Hugs is in excellent health, with no known medical issues, aside from a charming slight underbite that adds an extra layer of character to his already adorable face. This underbite gives him a unique look that many find irresistible, further enhancing his overall appeal.

Currently intact, Hugs has been known to display more dominant behavior when interacting with other dogs. This is not uncommon for dogs his age, especially when they are intact. However, we are more than willing to have him neutered before he leaves our care, as this procedure should help to adjust his behavior and make him more comfortable in social situations with other dogs.

Hugs was born and raised here with us, where we had initially planned to keep him and include him in our breeding program. However, after careful consideration, we have decided that he is too large for our specific requirements. We want what is best for Hugs and believe he will thrive in a home where he can receive the love and attention he deserves.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about Hugs. We are happy to provide additional information and help you understand more about this wonderful dog. Your inquiries are welcome, and we look forward to helping you find the perfect companion in Hugs.
